Governor Chris Sununu Statement on New Hampshire’s December 2016 Unemployment Rate
Concord, NH – Following this morning’s announcement from New Hampshire Employment Security that New Hampshire’s unemployment rate for December 2016 was 2.6 percent, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement:
“I am pleased that New Hampshire’s unemployment rate continues to decrease and stand as one of the lowest in the nation,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “A strong, thriving workforce is necessary for our broader goals to boost economic development and I look forward to continuing our work to again be the jobs engine throughout the region.”
New Hampshire’s December 2016 unemployment rate was 2.6 percent, a slight decrease from November’s unemployment rate of 2.7 percent.
