Sununu, Other Governors Urge U.S. House to Pass Right-to-Try Legislation

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu released the following statement after sending letters to Congressional leadership and New Hampshire's two Congresswomen regarding the upcoming right-to-try vote in the House of Representatives.

"Gridlock in Washington remains the only barrier standing between terminally ill patients and the hope they both need and deserve," said Governor Chris Sununu. "These patients and their families have no more time to waste, and I urge the House of Representatives to pass this critical legislation."

Governor Sununu spearheaded a group of nine governors in urging Senator McConnell, Speaker Ryan, Minority Leader Schumer and Minority Leader Pelosi to get federal right-to-try legislation to the President's desk. He also sent a letter to New Hampshire congresswomen Shea-Porter and Kuster, asking them to support federal right-to-try legislation.
