State of New Hampshire Activates Emergency Operations Center

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu, HHS Commissioner Lori Shibinette, and Department of Safety Assistant Commissioner Perry Plummer have announced the activation of the Emergency Operations Center at the Incident Planning and Operations Center in Concord, New Hampshire effective immediately to assist in the state's response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"We are opening the Emergency Operations Center to ensure a level of consistency, coordination, preparedness in order to keep local emergency management officials informed and up-to-date," said Governor Chris Sununu. "We are taking these proactive steps today to ensure the state is ready for further developments in responding to the COVID-19 outbreak."

"The State Emergency Operations Center is the state's incident coordination center," said Perry Plummer, Department of Safety Assistant Commissioner. "The SEOC brings together the necessary state agencies to manage response communication, coordination of supply and equipment delivery, monitor response activities and provide essential resources to our local, state and federal partners."

At this time, the Emergency Operations Center will be open from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, seven days a week at partial activation levels.

The partial activation level brings in necessary state agencies based on the nature and need of the incident including the Departments of Safety, Health and Human Services, Business and Economic Affairs, Administrative Services and Justice.

Note: The Governor will hold a press conference at 5:15 PM in the Executive Council Chambers on COVID-19.
