JLCAR Unanimously Confirms New Hampshire's Work Requirement

Concord, NH - Today, following the Join Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules's unanimous confirmation of New Hampshire's work requirement, Governor Sununu released the following statement:

"The Department of Health and Human Services has clearly, thoroughly and in a non-partisan manner addressed the concerns raised by the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules and I am pleased that the committee has approved the rules for New Hampshire's work requirement. It is clear that the changes made by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to our work requirement are very minor and in fact provide recipients with greater flexibility to be able to successfully comply with the requirement. By approving these rules, the state can now continue with the thoughtful and effective implementation of the requirement next month, ensuring health care for 50,000 Granite Staters."
