Governor Sununu to Nominate Two Superior Court Judges

Concord, NH — Today, Governor Chris Sununu announced that he will nominate Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth Leonard and New Hampshire Solicitor General Dan Will to serve as Superior Court Judges. The nominations will be made at tomorrow’s April 20th Executive Council meeting.

“Elizabeth and Dan are dedicated public servants who will serve admirably on the Superior Court,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Their extensive experiences as a Circuit Court Judge and Solicitor General have prepared them for this incredibly important role, and if confirmed, I know they will do a great job serving the citizens of our state.”

“The Governor’s confidence in me is humbling,” said Solicitor General Will. “New Hampshire citizens depend on the Superior Court to resolve disputes fairly and expeditiously. Joining the ranks of the Superior Court judges would be an honor, and, if confirmed, I will do everything I can in that role to serve the people of New Hampshire.”

“I am grateful for Governor Sununu’s confidence in nominating me to the Superior Court,” said Judge Leonard. “For the past seven years, I have been honored and humbled to serve as a Circuit Court judge. If confirmed, I look forward to continuing the privilege of serving the State of New Hampshire.”

Governor Sununu’s bipartisan Judicial Selection Commission recommended both Solicitor General Will and Circuit Court Judge Leonard for the Superior Court, and brought their recommendations to Governor Sununu.
