Governor Chris Sununu Writes to Fellow Governors Urging Updates to Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC)

Concord, NH – Last week, Governor Chris Sununu wrote to his fellow governors urging them to work with the legislatures in their respective states to pass critical short-term updates, as well as long-term updates included in the 2009 Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC).

Updating the ICPC, first passed in 1965, to better suit modern needs and processes was a recommendation made in the Comprehensive Update on the Ongoing Case Involving Harmony Montgomery and Recommended Systematic Improvements, released in February of 2022 by the State of New Hampshire.
