Governor Chris Sununu Statement on SB 563

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement on SB 563, establishing a recovery friendly workplace initiatives tax credit against business taxes administered by the community development finance authority:

"Today, the New Hampshire Senate made history by supporting an initiative that bolsters Recovery Friendly Workplaces in the Granite State," said Governor Chris Sununu. "When this measure passes the House, Recovery Friendly Workplaces will be able to apply for CDFA tax credits that will assist them in implementing the policies and practices that improve health and safety in the workplace. By creating a workplace environment that welcomes the contributions of people in recovery, employers can improve workplace health and safety while increasing productivity and profitability. By supporting this program and the companies that implement it, New Hampshire will provide the 60,000 Granite Staters who are already in recovery with a roadmap that guides them to businesses that support individuals and families in recovery."
