Governor Chris Sununu Statement on SB 301

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after the House Ways and Means Committee voted to interim study SB 301, temporarily reducing the real estate transfer tax for first-time home buyers:

"It is unfortunate that every Democratic member of the House Ways and Means Committee today decided to put partisan politics above creating an important opportunity for the next generation of New Hampshire's workforce," said Governor Chris Sununu. "This bill would open the door to homeownership for young families across the state - helping to retain and attract our future workforce. Despite the misguided actions of Democrats today, rest assured I am committed to taking action and will not give up this fight. I look forward to working with leadership in the House and Senate to make sure this important policy is achieved."
