Governor Chris Sununu Statement on Record-Setting July Jobs Report

Concord, NH - Today, New Hampshire Employment Security released the July 2019 jobs report, which shows that the state's labor force increased by 800 to an all-time high of 770,240. Following release of the report, Governor Sununu issued the following statement:

"Never before in New Hampshire's history have so many Granite Staters participated in and benefited from such a thriving economy," said Governor Chris Sununu. "Today's jobs report reaffirms that the steps we have taken to cut taxes, slash regulations, and spend wisely have resulted in real benefits for both New Hampshire businesses and the individuals they employ. To pass a budget that dramatically increases taxes on New Hampshire's job-creators by 12.5% would limit the opportunity New Hampshire businesses have to invest in their employees."
