Governor Chris Sununu Statement on Chief Justice Dalianis

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after New Hampshire Chief Justice Linda Dalianis announced her retirement:

"Chief Justice Dalianis is a trailblazer and a giant within the New Hampshire and national legal communities. As the first woman to sit on our state's highest court and to serve as Chief Justice, she has opened doors for women across this state and the nation who aspire to reach the highest levels of the legal profession. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with her over the past year, and I know that she will be sorely missed by her colleagues within the Judicial Branch and the entire legal profession. While the announcement of her departure does not come without a measure of sadness, we should all take this moment as an opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate her historic accomplishments. I thank her for her service to our state, and wish her the best in her future endeavors."
