Governor Chris Sununu Directs State Flags to Half-Staff on August 21, 2017 in Honor of Grafton County Dispatcher Steven Bomba

Concord, NH – Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after directing flags on all public buildings and grounds to fly at half-staff in observance of the service of Grafton County Dispatcher Steven Bomba on the year anniversary of his passing.

"Steven Bomba served Grafton County with honor and distinction as a Dispatcher and Firefighter, and we will remember him for heroism, dedication and selfless service to his community."

Background: Steven Bomba lost his life in a tragic accident on his way home from the 170th Police Academy graduation at the University of New Hampshire in Durham on August 19, 2016 . His death was officially declared a Line of Duty Death following the approval of the Executive Council on 5/17/2017.
