Governor Chris Sununu Announces Myles Matteson as Director of The Governor’s Office of Energy and Planning

Concord, NH – Governor Chris Sununu today announced Myles Matteson as the new Director of the Governor's Office of Energy and Planning (OEP), an integral organization dedicated to advancing New Hampshire's future.

Governor Sununu said of the announcement, "The Office of Energy and Planning is in good hands under Myles leadership, and Im excited to start leveraging his experience so that we can effectively plan and develop New Hampshire's long-term strategic goals."

OEP supports development, land protection, energy use and planning functions. The agency partners with stakeholders to guide the state's policy development and growth, and is organized under the Executive Office of the Governor, which Governor Sununu has proposed to broaden the scope of under a new name, the Governors Office of Strategic Initiatives.

"I am honored to be asked by Governor Sununu to serve the people of New Hampshire, and excited to concentrate on components of the administrations strategy to advance our states critical issues," said Myles Matteson. "I look forward to working with stakeholders to develop successful partnerships benefiting the citizens of New Hampshire."

Myles Matteson grew up on his family's farm in Epsom. A 2005 Harry S. Truman Scholar and 2007 British Marshall Scholar, Myles earned degrees in international law and criminology at Edinburgh and Oxford universities in the United Kingdom, and received a J.D. from George Washington University Law School. He has worked with the New Hampshire Attorney Generals Office, McLane Law Firm, and most recently as counsel to former U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte.
