CONCORD - Gov. John Lynch and Attorney General Kelly Ayotte today announced that the U.S. Probation Office has relocated Raymond J. Guay out of state.
Last week, Gov. Lynch sent a letter to the U.S. Bureau Probation Office requesting that Guay be relocated outside of New Hampshire. Since that time Gov. Lynch has been working with Chief U.S. Probation Officer Thomas Tarr and Attorney General Ayotte to have Guay moved out of New Hampshire.
Chief Tarr has informed the Governor that Guay has been moved to a halfway house outside of New Hampshire.
“I want to thank Chief Thomas Tarr for responding quickly to the concerns raised by the State of New Hampshire and the City of Manchester. We understand Raymond Guay has been moved into a structured release program out of state, which I believe is in his best interest and the public’s,” Gov. Lynch said.
“Considering the nature of Raymond Guay’s crimes and the length of time he has spent in prison, it is critical that he be placed in a structured release program and closely monitored. I am pleased we were able to work together to have Mr. Guay placed outside of New Hampshire,” Attorney General Kelly Ayotte said.
