CONCORD – Governor Maggie Hassan announced today that she will nominate Steven Kelleher as Acting Commissioner of the Department of Information Technology and Amy Bassett as Acting Director of the Division of Travel and Tourism Development. The Council must confirm the nominations.
With 30 years of experience in the information technology field, Kelleher has worked in both the private and public sectors to enhance IT solutions. For the last 15 years, Kelleher, of Concord, has worked for the State of New Hampshire, supporting some of the state’s largest agencies and implementing some of its most complex projects and systems, including work as the IT leader for the Department of Health and Human Services and as the technical manager for the State’s Medicaid systems.
Amy Bassett, of Hopkinton, has developed marketing strategies for the Department of Resources and Economic Development, including most recently as the Deputy Director of the Division of Travel and Tourism. Bassett has also worked with the Division of Parks and Recreation and has more than 20 years of experience implementing and supporting programs that are critical to the success of New Hampshire’s travel and tourism industry, the second largest in the state.
Governor Hassan will ask the Council to confirm these nominations at Tuesday’s meeting in Bridgewater so that these important functions will continue to have the leadership they need during the searches for candidates to fill the positions permanently.
